Really worth trying for the little ones with their milk, for lunches at school, and why not for us adults, with our morning and afternoon coffee.
Fill with chocolate, jam, cream, cheese, parizer, turkey etc. and even plain they are delicious.
Try them!!!
INGREDIENTS:
4 cups (bread maker cup) = 1/2 kg flour for
buns/brioche
2 cubes fresh yeast (50 g.)grated
6 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
2 whole eggs
150ml evaporated milk
7 tsp. melted butter
1 egg for coating
PREPARATION:
Add the ingredients with the order I gave them above, except the milk and butter, in the bread maker’s bowl.
Press MENU.
The DOUGH(kneads) button lights,
then press START(begins)
and LOCK (locks the program)
so you can see the time your dough needs to prepare.
After it starts, pour in the milk
and the melted butter at the first two minutes, close the lid and let it prepare itself.
Once the program finishes, empty the dough on your buttered counter
and open the dough in a wide and relatively thin sheet, my wasn’t that thin, and cut it lengthwise with your knife to form two sheets.
With your knife cut the sheets in triangular pieces
and roll the pieces one by one to give them the croissant shape. If you want you can cut the first sheet in more than two sheets so you can make smaller croissants and have more pieces.
Lay them on a buttered baking pan,
cover them with a towel and let them rise somewhere warm for an hour, until they double in size.
Coat them with the whisked egg
and bake them in a well preheated oven at 200C for 10 minutes.
Once there ready fill them with the help of a whipped cream syringe. You can fill them with chocolate, marmalade…even plain they’re delicious.
GOOD LUCK!!!
