150gr butter
INGREDIENTS FOR THE SYRUP
250gr sugar
250ml water
2 vanillas
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 lemon peel
INGREDIENTS FOR THE GANACHE
250gr couverture
250ml sour cream (35% fat)
1 teaspoon butter
2 packages Smarties (chocolate candies)
Coloured sprinkles
PREPARATION
Hackle (open) kataifi.
Take one part kataifi, twirl it in your hand...
...and place it in a nonstick baking pan for muffins.and place it in a nonstick baking pan for muffins. Make sure that there is room for the chocolate in the center of the nest.
Fill the nonstick pan with the nests.
Melt the butter.
Pour the butter over the nests (1-2 tablespoons melted butter for each nest).
Preheat the oven to 180 C and bake for 30 minutes until golden.
Put all the ingredients for the syrup in a saucepan. Bring to boil and keep in low heat for 10 minutes.
Pour the hot syrup over the nests (1-2 tablespoons syrup for each nest).
Put 2 candies on the top of each nest.
Cut couverture into chunks in a bowl.
Put sour cream in a saucepan and bring to boil.
Pour it in the bowl with the couverture chunks and leave it for 1 minute.
Start stirring
add the butter and continue stirring until the mix starts glazing.
Fill the nests with the mix.
Garnish with coloured sprinkles and the Smarties candies.
Leave the chocolate to harden and serve.
